The Boston Globe Foundation proudly partners with and funds local nonprofit programs and charitable events that support arts and culture, education, and health and wellness programs for children, families, and communities in Greater Boston and New England.
We fund annual scholarships to support students and operate one of Greater Boston’s most impactful direct-to-family holiday gifting programs, Globe Santa, which has served more than 3 million children in Greater Boston since 1956.

Globe Santa
For nearly 70 years, Globe Santa, a signature program of the Boston Globe Foundation, has delivered holiday presents to more than 3 million children in need throughout Greater Boston. The goodwill of the community has always been Globe Santa’s greatest strength. People from all walks of life show up for each other as neighbors helping neighbors, families helping families, and generations joining together in a tradition shared throughout the Greater Boston community.
